Tim Esposito has joined Boone Center, Inc. (BCI) as Chief Operations Officer (COO). In this role, Esposito is responsible for multiple departments within BCI Packaging, the nonprofit’s contract packaging subsidiary that provides jobs for 235 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“Tim has a wealth of progressive, successful leadership experience in privately held and private equity manufacturing companies,” said BCI CEO Troy Compardo. “His knowledge crosses multiple business segments including strategy, operations, sales, marketing, manufacturing, and product and business development. We are thrilled that he has joined our firm and will help drive our mission forward.”
A 33-year veteran of the manufacturing industry, Esposito most recently spent six years as vice president and general manager of Drug Package in O’Fallon, Mo. Prior to that, he spent seven years with ECM Group and the balance of his early career with Jackson Products, Inc.
Esposito is a graduate of Ohio University and is an International Association for Six Sigma Certification Green Belt. He has also held memberships in the American Welding Society (AWS), the AWS Welding Equipment Manufactures Committee, and the International Safety Equipment Association.
“The adults with disabilities who work at BCI are good people,” said Esposito, “and being here to support them and the organization’s mission is a great feeling for me.”
Tim replaces current BCI COO Jack Guthrie who retired on December 29 after 6 ½ years of service.
“Jack’s retirement weighs on us all,” said Compardo. “His expertise enabled us to grow operations and serve our mission more effectively. He was also the right person to lead us through the abrupt changes that came with the pandemic. Without question, he will be missed.”
